Hi!

I’ve emailed the Lion’s Club with an idea on how to convert the building on gilmore rd by the centennial fort erie public library into a baskeball court, with a change room, lockers, public washrooms, and to add a soccer field there for people to play at.

We can have volunteer retired coaches hold programs to teach on how to play various games.

We can get funding from the government and local sports stores.

We can get the equipment donated by the community and have a sign out form to use the equipment with volunteers there to keep an eye on things and moderate it.

It’s mostly for adults to use on the weekends (we have hundreds of immigrant men looking for ways to play sports, and have fun without it costing money for them).

I know there’s all sorts of sports and fitness grants we can use for it.

This is who I’ve emailed about my idea.

this is where we will apply for the grant

hi!

we’ve been approached by several immigrant men who love to play sports but have no where to go in town here by the fort erie public library where most of them live.

I’ve emailed a request to the town asking that we install an outdoor basketball court (2 nets) ¬†at the lion’s sugar bowl park.

According to ask.com it can cost from $2000 to $6000 to build one, so if anyone has any great “ideas” or would like to help with a “fundraiser” for this please contact me at ideagirlcanada at outlook.com

thanks!
