I took a bunch of photos with my camera and my cell phone but I don’t have time to upload them until june 2014.
I’ll be blogging more about my meet and greet with Andrea, Al, Marc, Andrew, and Jim Thibert (I made a joke to him about us being twins with our two straw hats on) at Fort Erie Racetrack on Tuesday May 27, 2014.
It was exciting to see everyone back to work there (well not EVERYONE but you get me on that one.)
I got to meet Andrea and take pictures with her and Wayne (I didn’t talk to him he was busy chatting with others).
I told Andrea about blogging about the Fort Erie Racetrack and going to see Kathleen Wynne about it when she came for a meeting here in Town.
I introduced myself as “the idea girl” which most of my readers know me by on all my blogs and youtube channels, twitter, linkedin and on facebook.:)
I let her know I blog “ideas” on how to generate a tourism industry here in Fort Erie and the Niagara Region.
Premiere Kathleen Wynne told me she reads my blog and loved my ideas, I’m hoping both Andrea and Tim Hudak (who is from the Fort Erie area) will also read the ideas that I share and implement them.
My goal and promise to Fort Erie is to generate 10,000 jobs here. I’m going to show you how to do it and it will be a success because it’s based on many years of research as a customer service agent (I did that for 10 years, sales and marketing for 25 years.)
So I know my ideas will change things and already have!
I’m happy to report since I started this project at the end of 2012 we’ve managed to open over 5 restaurants, and generate a few hundred jobs.
We got the racetrack open again with monies for 3 to 5 years to operate it.
Now were working on generating the tourism industry in sports, gaming and cycling.
I’m also working as a volunteer blogger to promote #NIFF Niagara Film Fest which in the future, along with our local wineries is going to generate a huge influx of tourists and international talents in film, music, and the arts.
Ridgeway’s taking the ideas by storm and we’ve sold out several functions. So the new ideas are changing this area and I’ll be checking in with all of you during my summer blogging jaunts to see how our marketing, promotion, festivals, events are doing – to generate money for our area. 🙂
So far so good!
I know mother nature’s helping too (thank you for the ice caves – that brought hundreds of thousands of people to see some ice made by waves lol).
This spring mother nature’s brought some more RARE birds along the niagara blvd. They must be migrating!
I’m offline for the summer, i am saving up to get myself a laptop and trying to blog from this new cell phone i bought.
It did on the linda randall wordpress blog but not on this one?
I think i’m going to have to update this theme because it doesn’t seem to have a mobile option on it….
i’ll be online off and on during the summer but I plan to keep you updated on the events that are sent to me on facebook and twitter.
see ya soon!
I’m going to have tons of pictures to upload in the future too. 🙂
i’ll let you know when i have the fort erie racetrack pics up!
I cannot take any music, movies, or arts youtube film projects – not able to find the time to do all that blogging!
I hope to be back online by september and then i can start promoting your work again for all of you!
