the idea girl says

I was shocked to learn from Rhonda at the FEFSN Fort Erie Food Security Network meeting that the dollar value of food banks operation costs of food banks is $3,200 per person to eat a healthy meal within a year.

Then we talked to Anne (Bev Goodman was mentioned) from the Salvation Army about Food Banks Canada – Funding for kitchen equipment, for the Community Kitchen project in Fort Erie. The costs involved for it. 20,000 for a new ventialiton system will be needed. they will need a walk in fridge, and other things.

they need an architect and were wondering whom to ask,who can do it as a social assistance favor or offer to do it at a reduced rate.

Rhonda was planning to call a man that owns the Sanctuary out in Ridgeway to see if he’s interested in doing an “architectural project”. I told her to mention my name since I did a bunch of publicity for them during the ice caves in january of 2014. 🙂

not sure if she’s asked him. if you want to assist with the costs associated with the architect plans to build our community kitchen

I thought of someone’s family whom a loved one has passed away that was a CHEF, to leave a LEGACY in their name, donate the monies to build this community kitchen and put a nice wall plaque on, dedicating it to them or several others in memory of their passed on loved ones, that LOVED to cook, not only in our local fort erie restaurants, but in social settings, the church community food banks, the community meals, here in town. I think that would be awesome if you can pass this idea around and let people know we’d love to do this for them!
