donation_iphone_apps_goodwill we need these for food bank donations
the idea girl says
I suggested this “idea” at the FSNFE meeting 14 Jan 2014.
I had this idea after playing with my apps on my tablet.
What would really change how donations come in for various charities and fundraising campaigns here in Fort Erie, Ontario, Canada?
A cell phone or tablet app.
So while shoppers who don’t carry cash or change can still make a donation. They could purchase gift cards at walmart, sobeys and no frills for the food banks and drop them off at the Salvation Army (give them to Anne to collect) for the various kitchen community luncheons and food banks that need to purchase dry goods. Instead of carting around canned goods to a store it’s much easier to buy a food gift card and let them buy what they need.
For those of you that love to do the canned and dry goods please do as always. For those of you pressed for time but still want to help out this idea would work great for you. YOu could do your donations during a lunch hour (usually thats when you think of someone being hungry) 🙂
just an idea!
Not sure how this can be implemented, since most of our websites and charities here in fort erie haven’t figured out how to make this work.
If you can make a suggestion or provide the apps we can do “business” with you and expand your talents to other organizations. 🙂
