the idea girl says
for someone who has never seen it, the welland canal brings lots of ooohs and aaaahs from travelling world tourists that visit the Lock 3 viewing dock.
Not only is there a (donation) museum (free to get in but leave a donation to help with costs), displays change every year so this was a theme about … tools of some sort.. sorry i forget!
then you walk through the museum (play some lacrosse!) and steer a boat and see yourself turning GREEN lol
push buttons to see four different welland canal water routes up the niagara escarpment from st catharines , to niagara falls, fort erie and port colborne, earlier it started at lake ontario by port dalhousie.
then you get a mini movie showing the building history of the welland ship canal from the late 1800s to early 1900s
there’s a gift, curio, souvenir shop and a lounge that shows you photos of the large ships and a docking time frame so you can VIEW the ship being lifted UP and DOWN with the “power of WATER.” 🙂
